An active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Mark Kislinger, MD, focuses primarily on cataract surgical techniques, including the implantation of intraocular lenses (IOLs), in his practice at Foothill Eye Institute. Over the course of his career, he has effectively treated more than 10,000 cataract cases without a single case of post-operative endophthalmitis. Dr. Mark Kislinger presently serves as the chief executive officer and medical director of the Foothill Eye Institute. In this role, he oversees a team of subspecialists with training in glaucoma, retinal ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, and diseases of the cornea. The physicians at Foothill Eye Institute are also qualified to address external eye issues.
Before earning his medical degree from the University of Miami, Mark Kislinger, MD graduated from Pasadena’s California Institute of Technology with a PhD in physics. Dr. Kislinger embarked on his career in math and physics at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was named the top undergraduate in his field.
